Many homes and buildings in Texas have stucco as an exterior finish. The stucco is strong and durable, but will need maintenance. Over time if it is not protected the stucco will develop cracks, bubbles and discoloration, on the contrary if the stucco is protected and maintained the stucco will last at least 50 years. The cracks in the stucco and the fissures must be sealed and repairs to prevent the passage of water to the wire mesh because it will cause corrosion and will weaken the stucco mixture.
